When Lambda Stretch contacted Digital Sales from Cambridge, England and we became their website design agency of choice, the brief was rather simple.
‘We want to create a serious professional image, outward thinking and innovative in order to generate interest in our research and technology. We want our website to tell investors that we mean business.’
First the team had to design a company logo, we aren’t just a ‘website design agency’, we also design and redesign logos and undertake any type of graphic and creative design work.
The logo design was primarily driven by the client, the colours they liked, the sector they are in and the vision they had. Which is fair enough. However, we wanted to try and make the logo stand out a little within the website, have a look at see what we did when you scroll down the page, www.LambdaStretch.com

A little bit of creativity and innovation, innovation that is on a par with Lambda Stretch and the solar energy sector that they are in.
The site is not built for SEO or for digital lead generation. It’s really a brochure website that is there to create an impression, articulate the technology and attract company investment. So, the links simply reflect the company and its core competencies, TECHNOLOGY (the IP), MARKET (POTENTIAL & SIZE), TEAM (The brains!). And primarily these are the three core messages, which are reemphasized, just below the fold, in the power of three format, see:
Its clearly best to use a real life photo, however, certain industries you can get away with using stock type images. In fact we use many such images on Digital Sales – but every image on Digital Sales was carefully selected – in some instances an entire day was used to source the ‘right’ image. And the image used on www.LambdaStretch.com, really hits the mark, leaves an impression and informs the user in an instant what the company is about.
